Edgar Wright talks Baby Driver and reveals how a certain filmmaker cameo came to be

Baby Driver is finally here as Sony Pictures brings to theaters this week the latest from writer and director Edgar Wright. Yesterday, we brought you exclusive interviews with the Baby Driver cast and now we’re sitting down with Wright himself to get a taste of what went into getting behind the wheel of such an involved action thriller. Edgar Wright shares details on a hidden Baby Driver cameo by none other than Walter Hill (the legendary director behind one of Baby Driver‘s chief inspirations, 1978’s The Driver) and even teases that a Baby Driver 2 could be in the works! In Baby Driver, a talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.

The Baby Driver cast also includes Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx (Ray), Eiza Gonzalez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and Jon Bernthal (Marvel’s The Punisher).
