An Inconvenient Sequel Clip Shows Global Warming in Action

Coinciding with its Sundance debut, Paramount Pictures has released the first An Inconvenient Sequel clip. From Participant Media, and directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk, the An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power follows former Vice President Al Gore as he continues his decades-long fight to build a more sustainable future for our planet. The 2006 original won two Academy Awards.

A decade after An Inconvenient Truth brought the climate crisis into the heart of popular culture, comes the riveting and rousing follow-up that shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution. Former Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight, traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy. Cameras follow him behind the scenes – in moments both private and public, funny and poignant — as he pursues the inspirational idea that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.

“Now more than ever we must rededicate ourselves to solving the climate crisis,” says Gore. “But we have reason to be hopeful; the solutions to the crisis are at hand.”

Stepping beyond the limits of the first movie’s focus on Gore’s inspirational slide presentation, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power travels the world and delivers an inspirational story of change in the making. It is produced by Richard Berge and Diane Weyermann and executive produced by Jeff Skoll, Davis Guggenheim, Lawrence Bender, Laurie David, Scott Z. Burns, and Lesley Chilcott.

Paramount Pictures will release An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power on July 28, 2017.
