The Adderall Diaries trailer starring James Franco and Ed Harris
A24 has debuted the trailer for director Pamela Romanowsky’s adaptation of author Stephen Elliott’s The Adderall Diaries. Check out The Adderall Diaries trailer below!
The film features a cast including James Franco (The Interview), Ed Harris (Snowpiercer), Amber Heard (The Danish Girl), Christian Slater (“Mr. Robot”), Wilmer Valderrama (“From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series”) and Cynthia Nixon (“Sex and the City”).
The non-linear story begins as a real-life investigation into the 2007 murder trial of Hans Reiser, accused of killing his wife, and the ensuing confession of his friend Sean Sturgeon (who, though he admits to several other murders, does not take responsibility for that specific murder). Throughout the course of the book, the experimental story turns into a twisted autobiography of Elliott’s own life, framed against the literary investigation. Slater will play Reiser with Franco playing a version of Elliott, who investigates the case himself as he writes the book.
Romanowsky (The Color of Time) also adapted the screenplay for The Adderall Diaries, which will be released in limited theaters on April 15.
