Fox premiered the first two trailers for Deadpool, the upcoming Marvel feature starring Ryan Reynolds as the title character, the Merc with the Mouth described as Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero.
Set for an February 12, 2016 release date, the film tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
The film co-stars T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano and Morena Baccarin and was directed by Tim Miller.
