New Red Band Trailer for ‘Dom Hemingway’

I caught Dom Hemingway at the Toronto Film Festival and quite enjoyed it starting my review off saying it “feels like a second cousin to Nicolas Winding-Refn’s BronsonJude Law‘s title character carries the same gruff, deep British accent Tom Hardy adopted [..] and the batshit nature of the two characters is damn near exactly the same.” I think this new red band trailer for the film gives you a pretty good taste of what I was talking about.

Dom is a safecracker with a loose fuse who, after twelve years in prison, sets off with his partner in crime Dickie (Richard E. Grant) looking to collect what he’s owed for keeping his mouth shut and protecting his boss Mr. Fontaine (Demian Bichir). After a near death experience, Dom tries to re-connect with his estranged daughter (Emilia Clarke), but is soon drawn back into the only world he knows, looking to settle the ultimate debt.

Richard Shepard (The Matador) wrote and directed it and while it has already opened across the pond, it won’t hit U.S. theaters until April 4, but trust me it’s a fun little flick to keep on your radar.
