Here’s a film I don’t quite get, but perhaps that’s because I wasn’t necessarily a big fan of the first one and don’t understand who would be all that interested in seeing a sequel, but Red 2 is coming no matter what on July 19 and a new trailer has arrived to prove it.
The film brings back the geriatric team of retired CIA agents including returning stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Helen Mirren with newcomers including Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung Hun Lee under the direction of Dean Parisot (Fun with Dick and Jane).
This time around retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses (Willis) and friends reunite to track down a missing portable nuclear device. The mission takes them to Paris, London and Moscow and I don’t think we should expect logic to play much of a role.
