I must not be paying close enough attention to the trade news because I didn’t even know Dead Man Down, a new thriller from the original The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo helmer Niels Arden Oplev, who is reteaming with the original Lisbeth Salander, Noomi Rapace, and Colin Farrell.
The story centers on Victor (Farrell), who was hired by Beatrice (Rapace) to kill Alphonse Hoyt, an underground New York crime lord (Terrence Howard). The twist, Victor is Hoyt’s right-hand man. Dominic Cooper, Isabelle Huppert and Franky G co-star.
FilmDistrict is set to release the picture on March 8.
