Fincher’s ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Teaser Trailer Set to Debut Next Week

There was a lot of talk of a red band trailer for David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo debuting overseas a couple of days ago. Miraculously that trailer has not found its way online yet, but I have been informed the domestic debut of the green band teaser trailer will happen next week, on Thursday, June 2, approximately at 10 AM PST. Unfortunately, this means it won’t be the red band version showing internationally.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first film in Columbia Pictures’ three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s literary blockbuster, “The Millennium Trilogy”. The film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon. The screenplay is by Steven Zaillian (Hannibal, Schindler’s List).

The film is set for a December 21 release and stars Rooney Mara in the title role alongside Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgard, Robin Wright, Joely Richardson, Steven Berkoff, David Dencik, Christopher Plummer, Yorick van Wageningen and Goran Visnjic.
