20th Century Fox just released the first trailer for Jim Carrey’s upcoming film Mr. Popper’s Penguins based on the 1938 children’s book centering on a high-powered, New York business man (Carrey) who suddenly inherits six penguins. Taking care of the animals is no easy matter, and he quickly hits major hurtles, both at home and at work. But along the way, he learns the value of family and friendship–human and otherwise.
Mark Water (Mean Girls) directed the film which co-stars Carla Gugino, Ophelia Lovibond, Philip Baker Hall and Angela Lansbury.
Mr. Popper’s Penguins is currently set for a June 17 release date. Check out the trailer below.
