Zipper Trailer: History Catches Up With Patrick Wilson

The Zipper trailer finds Patrick Wilson as a federal prosecutor with a few skeletons in his closet

Alchemy has just released the trailer for director Mora Stephens’ new thriller, Zipper, starring Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, The Conjuring), Lena Headey (“Game of Thrones,” 300) Dianna Agron (“Glee”, I Am Number Four), Ray Winstone (Beowulf, The Departed), John Cho (Star Trek, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle) and Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind). Check it out in the player below, courtesy of iTunes Movie Trailers.

Sam Ellis (Wilson) is a man on the rise — a hotshot federal prosecutor on the cusp of a bright political future. But what was meant to be a one-time experience with a high-end escort instead turns into a growing addiction. His moral compass unraveling, his new demon threatens to destroy his life, family and career.

“I admit, I am fascinated by political sex scandals,” Stephens explains in a director’s statement. “‘Zipper’ began with my curiosity about the contradictions inherent to this hot topic. A great leader, a good family man, a man with everything to lose, who is compulsively seeing escots, or a mistress, or a young page on the side – each time one of these scandals breaks, it seems to shock the public. Why do we put out political leaders on a pedestal only to tear them down?”

Alchemy will release Zipper in theaters and On Demand August 28.
