Happy Father's Day from Inside Out, Sinister 2 and The Peanuts Movie!

With Father’s Day this Sunday, June 21, several new films have released specially-themed videos with messages for dads everywhere. As you can see from the diverse line-up below, every dad is different. Whether they’re hardworking and loving fathers like Inside Out‘s Mr. Anderson (Kyle MacLachlan), faceless and trombone-voiced like the adults in The Peanuts Movie or even evil pagan Babylonian deities like Sinister 2‘s Bughuul, this Sunday is when they all get their due.

In theaters today, Inside Out knows that growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions –Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

Inside Out is directed by Academy Award winner Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc., Up), produced by Jonas Rivera, p.g.a. (Up), co-directed by Ronnie Del Carmen (Up) and featuring an original score by Michael Giacchino (The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up).

The sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit, Sinister 2 follows a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) as they find themselves in a rural house marked for death, the evil spirit of Bughuul continuing to spread with frightening intensity.

Directed by Ciaran Foy (Citadel), Sinister 2 also stars James Ransone and is scripted by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, the duo behind the original film. eOne is financing the sequel with Jason Blum and Derrickson producing and Charles Layton, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and eOne’s Xavier Marchand and Patrice Theroux executive producing.

Featuring the voices of Noah Schnapp, Hadley Belle Miller, AJ Tecce, Noah Johnston, Venus Schultheis, Alexander Garfin, Francesca Capaldi, Mar Mar, Mariel Sheets, Rebecca Bloom, William Alexander Wunsch, Anastasia Bredikhina and Madisyn Shipman, The Peanuts Movie is directed by Steve Martino and features a script by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano. Look for it to hit the big screen on November 6, 2015.
