CS Video: The Cast of Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb

After the 2010 sequel Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Ben Stiller’s night guard Larry Daley is back for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, in which the ancient Egyptian table that brings the displays at the Museum of Natural History to life has started to corrode and deteriorate. In order to save the tablet and all of Larry’s friends, they must travel to London’s British Museum, where they meet the knight Lancelot (Dan Stevens), the Pharaoh (Ben Kingsley) and that museum’s night guard Tilly, played by Rebel Wilson. Along for the ride is President Teddy Roosevelt (the late Robin Williams in his final performance), the tiny warriors Jebediah and Octavius (Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan), the mischievous Capuchin monkey Dexter and a new caveman who bears a striking resemblance to Larry.

ComingSoon.net attended the New York premiere and junket for the movie last week where we had a chance to talk to Stiller, Wilson and director Shawn Levy, as well as Rebel Wilson and Dan Stevens. We mainly talked about the reasons for doing a third movie and what was involved with some of the big FX scenes, like having Stiller playing two characters, and the “mini-movie” Wilson ended up making with Steve Coogan.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb opens nationwide on Friday, December 19.
