Don’t Make Me Go Trailer: John Cho Leads Amazon Comedy-Drama Film

Amazon Studios has released the official trailer for Don’t Make Me Go, an upcoming comedy-drama film starring John Cho and Mia Isaac. It will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, followed by its global streaming release on July 15, exclusively on Prime Video.

The video, which you can check out below, features a single father who goes on a road trip with his daughter after finding out that he has a terminal disease. He tries to spend as much time as he can with her, even if there’ll be arguments along the way.

Don’t Make Me Go stars John Cho (Searching), Mia Isaac (Lovestruck), Mitchell Hope (Let It Snow), Jemaine Clement (Legion), Stefania LaVie Owen (The Lovely Bones), and Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner).

“When single father Max discovers he has a terminal disease, he decides to try and cram all the years of love and support he will miss with his teenage daughter Wally into the time he has left with her,” reads the synopsis. “With the promise of long-awaited driving lessons, he convinces Wally to accompany him on a road trip from California to New Orleans for his 20th college reunion, where he secretly hopes to reunite her with her mother who left them long ago.”

A wholly original, emotional, and surprising journey, Don’t Make Me Go explores the unbreakable, eternal bond between a father and daughter from both sides of the generational divide with heart and humor along for the ride.

The film is directed by Hannah Marks from a screenplay written by Vera Herbert. It is produced by Donald De Line, Leah Holzer, and Peter Saraf.
