CS Video: Morgan Freeman on the New IMAX Documentary Island of Lemurs: Madagascar

With Earth Day arriving on April 22, Warner Bros. Pictures is getting a head start on the festivities, releasing into IMAX theaters this Friday their latest 3D nature documentary, Island of Lemurs: Madagascar, narrated by Morgan Freeman.

Island of Lemurs: Madagascar takes audiences on a journey to the incredible island nation, the only place on Earth where lemurs exist naturally. Castaways to the island millions of years ago, lemurs have since evolved in 15 distinct biological genera and more than 100 different species. Tragically now endangered, lemurs are the research focus of Dr. Patricia Wright, who escorts viewers on an IMAX-scaled journey through their strange and incredible world.

ComingSoon.net sat down with Freeman and Wright (plus a furry ring-tailed friend named Felix) to discuss the new film and the continued work being done to both study and protect the lemurs of Madagascar. Check out the video in the player below and, for more information on how to help, visit Dr. Wright’s official website.
