All the Bright Places adds Alexandra Shipp, Keegan-Michael Key & more

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keegen-Michael Key (The Predator), Alexandra Shipp (Dark Phoenix), Luke Wilson (The Goldfinch), and Virginia Gardner (Marvel’s Runaways) have joined Netflix’s forthcoming film adaptation All the Bright Places based on Jennifer Niven’s 2015 young adult novel of the same name. Other additions to the cast include Lamar Johnson (The Hate U Give), Kelli O’Hara, Felix Mallard and Sofia Hasmik

All the Bright Places is heart-wrenching story that follows the story of two troubled teenagers Violet Markey and Theodore Finch, who both struggle with emotional and mental distress cause by the physical scars of their past. They will come together as they try to discover the wonders within themselves and the world around them.

The film stars Elle Fanning (I Think We’re Alone Now) as Violet and Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) as Finch. It will be directed by Brett Haley (Hearts Beat Loud) with Niven and Liz Hannah (The Post) to penned the film’s script.

Paular Mazur and Mitchell Kaplon of Mazur Kaplan along with Echo Lake’s Andrew Spaulding, Doug Mankoff and Brittany Kahan are set to produce. Fanning will also serve as producer with Hannah Salerno, Robert Salerno and Kimi Armstrong Stein as executive producers.

All the Bright Places is being produced by Mazur/Kaplan Company and Echo Lake Entertainment. The film has already begun its filming in Cleveland, Ohio.
