Eddie Redmayne is the latest name to enter negotiations to star in Andy and Lana Wachowski’s Jupiter Ascending, Variety reports. He’d star in the sci-fi tale opposite Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis.
The film focuses on higher forms of life who are watching us from other worlds. Kunis will play a Russian immigrant who is busily scrubbing toilets for a living. Unbeknownst to her, she actually possesses the same perfect genetic makeup as the Queen of the Universe and is therefore a threat to her otherwise immortal rule.
Although Redmayne’s specific role has not yet been revealed, you can catch the star in Les Misérables when it hits theaters Christmas Day.
