Gal Gadot Joins Red Notice Alongside Dwayne Johnson

Deadline has reported that Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) has joined Dwayne Johnson (Rampage, Skyscraper) in the action-comedy Red Notice. Universal Pictures won the rights to the project after a high profile bidding war for the film that included major players like Warner Bros., Paramount, Sony, and even Netflix. Gadot previously starred alongside Johnson in Fast FiveFast & Furious 6 and Furious 7.

In the film, global superstar Dwayne Johnson reteams with his Central Intelligence writer/director, Rawson Marshall Thurber, to lead the cast of Red Notice. The pair also collaborated on the upcoming Skyscraper.

Gadot will play a brilliant and mysterious figure in the art world. Details on the project are being kept under wraps, but it is described as a globe-trotting, action-comedy heist thriller designed as a three-hander between Johson, Gadot, and another male star who will soon be set.

In the international action-thriller, Johnson plays an Interpol agent tasked with capturing the most wanted art thief in the world. “Red Notice” refers to the highest and most serious of Interpol notices (there are eight) and concerns the arrest of wanted criminals.

Red Notice will be produced by the returning Skyscraper team, including Beau Flynn (RampageSan Andreas) for his Flynn Picture Co., Johnson, Dany Garcia (Jumanji, Ballers) and Hiram Garcia (San AndreasCentral Intelligence) for their Seven Bucks Productions, and Thurber for his Bad Version, Inc. Wendy Jacobson (RampageSan Andreas) executive produces.

Gadot is currently shooting Wonder Woman 2 with director Patty Jenkins and will potentially star in Sue Kroll’s fact-based tale My Dearest Fidel from Warner Bros.
