Jay Baruchel Reveals Plans for Goon 2

Jay Baruchel has revealed, via his Twitter account, that work has begun on a sequel to last year’s indie hit, Goon. Baruchel, who starred in and co-wrote the original hockey comedy with Evan Goldberg, will this time team with screenwriter Jesse Chabot (an associate producer on the original) with Michael Dowse returning to direct.

The original film also starred Seann William Scott, Alison Pill, Liev Schrieber and Eugene Levy and was based on the book “Goon: The True Story of an Unlikely Journey into Minor League Hockey” by Adam Frattasio and Doug Smith.
