Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac Adds Jamie Bell and Connie Nielsen

The full cast of Lars von Trier’s upcoming Nymphomaniac has now been revealed as The Hollywood Reporter updates that Jamie Bell and Connie Nielsen have signed on in supporting roles, joining Shia LaBeouf, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skarsgard with additional parts for Jens Albinus, Nicolas Bro, Jesper Christense, Shanti Roney and Severin von Hoensbroech. Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman have, meanwhile, been rumored to appear, but their involvement has not been confirmed.

Nymphomaniac is the wild and poetic story of a woman’s erotic journey from birth to the age of 50 as told by the main character, the self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe.

On a cold winter’s evening the old, charming bachelor, Seligman, finds Joe beaten up in an alleyway. He brings her home to his flat where he tends to her wounds while asking her about her life. He listens intently as Joe over the next 8 chapters recounts the lushly branched-out and multi faceted story of her life, rich in associations and interjecting incidents.

Production is planned to begin tomorrow in Sweden with the project aiming for a two-film release, each with an R and NC-17 version.
