The Walt Disney Studios confirmed today that Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne will play a minor role as the child version of Princess Aurora opposite her mother in Maleficent, which hits theaters on March 14, 2014.
The live-action film explores the origins of Disneys most iconic villain, Maleficent, and what led her to curse Princess Aurora in Disneys animated classic Sleeping Beauty.
Directed by Robert Stromberg from a script by Linda Woolverton, the film also stars Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.
