Is the Daredevil Reboot Dead?

Things aren’t looking great for our favorite horn-headed hero Daredevil. Fox has been trying to get a reboot of the character off the ground for a while. They tried to get one off the ground with 30 Days of Night director David Slade, which didn’t work out. When it looked like the character was going nowhere, another take on the character from The A-Team director Joe Carnahan was gaining momentum at the studio, which has to get production on the film started by October 10th or lose the rights back to Marvel.

Well, now it looks like that second take on the character isn’t happening either, at least according to what Joe said himself on Twitter last night:

“Think my idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids.

We shall see. Time is NOT on anyone’s side.”

Joe doesn’t seem very optimistic about the movie, so will we see Daredevil move back to Marvel Studios? There’s only two months left before the character goes back home. Who can Fox find to jump on the film on such short notice now?
