Bruce Dern and Will Forte are set to headline Alexander Payne’s follow-up to his Academy Award-winning The Descendants, titled Nebraska, Deadline reports.
“It’s a father/son road trip from Billings, Montana to Lincoln, Nebraska,” Payne told ComingSoon.net earlier this year, “but it gets waylaid at a crappy town in central Nebraska where the father grew up and where he has some old scores to settle. It’s just a little comedy. It’s nothing fancy. Nothing too ambitious. It’s a nice little comedy.”
The project is now officially greenlit at Paramount and the plan is to shoot Nebraska in black and white with production set to begin in October.
