Chernin Entertainment has plans to bring to the screen the true story of 14-year-old Taylor Wilson who, earlier this year, was the subject of the Popular Science article The Boy Who Played With Fusion. Deadline has the news, saying that Jeff Nichols is negotiating to direct.

Nichols previously directed Shotgun Stories and Take Shelter. His latest, Mud, stars Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon and is currently without an announced release date.
