Comic-Con: House at the End of the Street Goes Viral

Relativity Media’s House at the End of the Street appears to be launching a viral marketing campaign at Comic-Con and it has just revealed a new clip from the September 21st release. Check it out in the player below!

Starring Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games), Elisabeth Shue, Max Thieriot and Gil Bellows, the film is directed by Mark Tonderai and tells the story of the newly divorced Sarah (Shue) and her daughter Elissa (Lawrence) who find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Thieriot), as the sole survivor. Against Sarah’s wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan – and the closer they get, the deeper they’re all pulled into a mystery more dangerous than they ever imagined.

One of the film’s promo items for the con is a small flashlight that, when projected against a wall, reveals the phone number (773) 451 9439. If you call the number from a cell phone you’ll hear Lawrence’s voice crying for help and, moments later, you’ll receive a text with a link to the below clip. You can also respond to the message and say that you’d like to receive further updates which then offers a text that reads, “Thanks for your help. I’ll text you again when I’m in trouble,” Check back for further updates as they become available!
