The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters on July 20th and it will be doing so in about 18 countries across the world, and another 38 markets the following weekend, according to Variety. This isn’t unusual but the big surprise has come in the form of WB upping the amount of screens they’re putting the film on by about 4,000 over 2008’s The Dark Knight. The total count of overseas screens that the film will play on is about 15,000, which isn’t the biggest overseas opening but still a sizable amount.
In other Batman news, Hot Toys has unveiled what is hopefully not the last of their The Dark Knight Rises figures, but this one might be the coolest. This all new Batman figure comes with several different accessories, faces, and hands that are interchangeable. There’s also the opportunity here to have him on his Batpod or in his newest vehicle The Bat (sold separately of course). We’ve got plenty of pictures of it here for you to look at but head over to their Facebook page to see more.
