The Weinstein Company has pulled The War with GrandpaThe Upside and Mary Magdalene from their release schedule, according to Deadline. The three Dimension films are now listed by The Weinstein Company as “unset 2018.” The War with Grandpa stars Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken and was set for February 23. The Upside stars Bryan Cranston and was set for March 9, and Mary Magdalene stars Rooney Mara and was set for March 30 in limited release.

In other release date news, Lionsgate has moved the release of the remake of Overboard, starring Anna Faris, Eugenio Derbez and Eva Longoria, up a week, from April 20 to April 13. Originally it was up against only This is Our Land. Now the film will compete against Truth or DareSgt. Stubby: An American HeroBeirutThe Miracle Season and The Rider.

In The War with Grandpa, Peter (Oakes Fegley) and his Grandpa (De Niro) used to be very close, but when Grandpa Jack moves in with the family, Peter is forced to give up his most prized possession, his bedroom. Peter will stop at nothing to get his room back, scheming with friends to devise a series of pranks to drive him out. But Grandpa doesn’t give up easily and before long, it’s an all out war! This coming-of-age family comedy is based on the bestselling book by Robert Kimmel Smith.

The Upside: Written by Jon Hartmere, the English-language remake reinvents the French classic, The Intouchables, that took the world by storm and went on to gross over $400 million worldwide – making it the second-highest grossing non-English language film of all time. The Upside chronicles the unexpected friendship between Phillip Lacasse (Cranston), a Park Avenue billionaire left paralyzed after a hang-gliding accident, and convicted felon Dell (Hart), recently released from prison and in need of a job and a fresh start. From worlds apart, Phillip and Dell form an unlikely bond, bridging their differences and gaining invaluable wisdom in the process, giving each man a renewed sense of passion for all of life’s possibilities.

Mary Magdalene is conceived to be an authentic and humanistic portrait of one of the most enigmatic and misunderstood spiritual figures in history. The biblical biopic tells the story of Mary (Mara), a young woman in search of a new way of living. Constricted by the hierarchies of the day, Mary defies her traditional family to join a new social movement led by the charismatic Jesus of Nazareth (Phoenix). She soon finds a place for herself within the movement and at the heart of a journey that will lead to the capital city of Jerusalem.

Overboard focuses on “Leonardo” (Derbez), a selfish, spoiled, rich playboy from Mexico’s richest family and “Kate” (Faris), a working class single mom of three hired to clean Leonardo’s luxury yacht. After unjustly firing Kate and refusing to pay her, Leonardo falls overboard when partying too hard and wakes up on the Oregon coast with amnesia. Kate shows up at the hospital and, to get payback, convinces Leonardo he is her husband and puts him to work – for the first time in his life. At first miserable and inept, Leonardo slowly settles in. Eventually he earns the respect of his new “family” and co-workers. But, with Leonardo’s billionaire family hot on their trail and the possibility of his memory returning at any moment, will their new family last or will Leonardo finally put the clues together and leave them for good.
