Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Release Date Set for 2020

James Gunn previously hinted that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be coming in 2020, but now he’s made it official. In a new tweet yesterday, the filmmaker said that fans can expect the third installment in 2020.

This means that we will be seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy four years in a row. We saw them in 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we’ll see them in Avengers: Infinity War this May, again in Avengers 4 in 2019, and then in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.

Marvel Studios has scheduled three untitled movies for that year, including one on May 1, 2020, one on August 7, 2020, and another one November 6, 2020. Which of these do you think the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 release might grab? Let us know in the comments.

Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel StudiosGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, and Kurt Russell as Ego the Living Planet. Directed and written by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was produced by Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Nik Korda and Stan Lee serving as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 grossed $863.7 million at the worldwide box office, topping the first film’s $773.3 million.
