The Michael Bay-produced Ninja Turtles will go in front of the cameras this year, according to The Province. Paramount Pictures is looking to start principal photography late this summer or early in the fall in Vancouver.
Bay is producing through his Platinum Dunes production company with Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) directing and a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol). The turtles are expected to be motion capture CGI, much like what we saw in last year’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
The studio is planning to release the film on December 25, 2013.
