Deadline is reporting that Brad Bird (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Ratatouille, The Incredibles) will direct 1952 for Walt Disney Pictures.
Damon Lindelof (Star Trek sequel, Prometheus, “LOST”) is writing the script with Jeff Jensen. The storyline for the film is under wraps, though the site says that the movie has “multi-platform aspirations.”
They add that the studio hopes to start production on the film next year, with Lindelof producing.
