Michael Douglas in Talks for Last Vegas

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Michael Douglas is the first name to be in talks to star in the CBS Films ensemble comedy Last Vegas, directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure) based on the script by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love.).

If cast, Douglas will play Billy Gerson, a “ladies man in denial of growing old,” who before marrying a woman half his age decides to throw a last bash bachelor party in Las Vegas, inviting four of his retired friends.

Speaking to The Hartford Courant before receiving an award from the Eugene O’Neill Theater, Douglas said that Dustin Hoffman and Christopher Walken would play two of the friends but neither has been confirmed as being in negotiations and The Hollywood Reporter mentions that Hoffman wasn’t involved due to scheduling issues.

If the casting comes together, the film will start shooting in Atlanta in August.
