Danny McBride Plans Clown

Danny McBride is set to both write and headline Clown, a remake of the 2010 Danish film which, in turn, was based on the same country’s long-running sitcom, “Klovn.” Deadline says that McBride will produce alongside Todd Phillips, who directed him in a small role 2010’s Due Date.

The plot of Clown sees McBride as a man who winds up forced to bring along the 13-year-old son his girlfriend on a bachelor party-style canoeing trip with his best friend.

McBride starred in last year’s 30 Minutes or Less and just is currently in the middle of the third and final season of his HBO comedy, “Eastbound & Down.”

The original Klown will be release by Drafthouse Films on July 27. Click here for more details.
