Is this photo from Ron Howard’s Twitter account a tease for Han Solo’s Kessel Run?
Ron Howard recently tweeted a tease about a role for Paul Bettany in the upcoming Star Wars anthology film Han Solo. Today he posted a teaser pic that might show us the entrance to the Kessel Run. In the tweet, we see a pic of what looks like the entrance to a cave with the caption, “Spicey?” As Star Wars fans know, Han Solo is very proud of the fact that he flew the Millennium Falcon through the famous Kessel Run in fewer than 12 parsecs. The Kessel Run is the hyperspace route that smugglers use to move spice from the mines on Kessel. Han Solo’s run broke a long-standing record. Check out the pic and the tweet below.

The untitled Han Solo film features Hail, Caesar‘s Alden Ehrenreich as Han, with Atlanta‘s Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and The Force Awakens‘ Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson is playing Han’s mentor, a man by the name of Beckett, while Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke, Westworld‘s Thandie Newton, and Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge are playing undisclosed roles.
In the wake of the departure of directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars movie, Lucasfilm hired director Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, The Da Vinci Code) to take their place. It is unknown how credit will be divided for the finished film, as at least 3/4s of it was already shot when Howard took over.
The Han Solo movie is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018. What do you think of the tease Ron Howard tweeted for the Kessel Run in the Han Solo film? Let us know in the comments or tweet us @ComingSoonnet.
