Sienna Guillory, John Savage & Clint Howard Join The Whole Banana

Sienna Guillory, John Savage and Clint Howard have joined Kristy Swanson, Kevin Sorbo, Dominique Swain, Stelio Savante and Jeffrey Vincent Parise in the cast of the romantic comedy, The Whole Banana. Matthew Perry (“Friends,” The Whole Nine Yards) and Dean Cain (“Lois & Clarke,” Five Days of War) will also play large cameo roles in the film which began filming last week in Los Angeles (see photos below).

The Whole Banana is based on Deb Norton’s play which was last performed in Los Angeles at West Hollywood’s Court Theater in 2003. Perry also work-shopped the play with his dad John Bennett Perry at the Court, after Norton’s Ojai ‘Theater 150’ debut went well.

The plot revolves around struggling artist Fran (Swanson) who is so discouraged by the men in her life, that she frequently prays to Greek god Hermes (Sorbo). Taken by her faithful appeal, Hermes ventures into Fran’s life and sweeps her off her feet. Unfortunately for Fran there is a two week limit on Hermes earthly vacation. Swain plays Swanson’s best friend and confidant and Savante portrays Swain’s long suffering husband. Perry will play Apollo, brother to Sorbo’s Hermes. Howard and Guillory (“Resident Evil” films) play Fran’s fellow nicotine anonymous addicts.

Brought to the screen by Magik Shoppe Pictures, Stephen Wallis directs and produces along with John Bennett Perry, Stelio Savante and Tom Fox.
