Zoe Saldana looks likely to join Christian Bale in Relativity Media’s Out of the Furnace, says a story at Variety. Formerly titled The Low Dweller, the revenge thriller will be directed by Scott Cooper, best known for writing, producing and directing the highly-acclaimed Oscar-winner Crazy Heart.
Said to be a gritty throwback to films of the 1970’s, Out of the Furnace follows an ex-con who, once released from prison, is given no choice but to avenge the death of his brother.
Saldana, who is now shooting the Star Trek sequel, would play ex-wife to Bale’s character with Robert Duvall said to be likely to play his uncle.
