Kristen Wiig has plans to headline an as-of-yet-untitled action comedy from The Descendants screenwriters Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, Variety reports.
No plot details are currently available outside of the genre, but interest in the project was no doubt bolstered by last Sunday’s Academy Award win for the screenwriting team for Best Adapted Screenplay. Oddly enough, Wiig herself was nominated for Best Original Screenplay alongside her Bridesmaids writing partner Annie Mumolo.
Wiig and Mumolo are said to be at work on another, original screenplay and Wiig can soon be seen in Friends with Kids and will soon shoot The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, directed by and starring Ben Stiller.
