Three More Join Ender’s Game

The cast for Gavin Hood’s adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel Ender’s Game has been coming together fairly quickly and we can now add Nonso Anozie (left) to the mix playing Sergeant Dap, according to Deadline. They also report that Stevie Ray Dallimore and Andrea Powell will play the parents of the film’s main character Ender Wiggins, played by Hugo star Asa Butterfield, a young strategist drafted to save the human race.

Anozie was last seen in Joe Carnahan’s thriller The Grey, but the British character actor could be seen in everything from Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla to Mike Leigh’s Happy-Go-Lucky to last year’s Conan the Barbarian. Powell has been a part of many short-lived TV series like “The Gates” and small roles in movies, while Dallimore had a small role in the recent Joyful Noise.

The large ensemble cast for the Summit Entertainment production, which will begin filming in New Orleans this month, also includes Harrison Ford, Sir Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin with a March 15, 2013 release date already set.
