Anna Friel, Tamsin Egerton and Imogen Poots have joined Steve Coogan in director Michael Winterbottom’s King of Soho, reports Variety.
The trade says the comedy drama is “about the business and personal life of club proprietor and porn publisher Paul Raymond. Coogan will play the eponymous ”King of Soho,” a nickname given to Raymond by the press due to his huge club and property empire which, along with his porn business, amassed him a fortune of billions of pounds.”
Matt Greenhalgh (Nowhere Boy, Control) wrote the script.
Coogan and Winterbottom have previously worked together on 24 Hour Party People, A Cock and Bull Story and The Trip.
