Tom Hiddleston Joins Jim Jarmusch’s Next, Only Lovers Left Alive

Tom Hiddleston is the latest name to join the cast of Jim Jarmusch’s next, according to a story at The Hollywood Reporter. What’s more, the project has now officially been given the title Only Lovers Left Alive.

The project, a vampire story originally described as “crypto-vampire love story, set against the romantic desolation of Detroit and Tangiers,” is already set to star Tilda Swinton, John Hurt and Mia Wasikowska. Michael Fassbender was said to be attached at one point as well, but it now appears that Hiddleston will be replacing him.

Hiddleston is best known for playing Loki in last year’s Thor and he’s set to reprise the role in the upcoming Marvel Studios project The Avengers and Thor 2. He also played key roles last year in both Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris and Steven Spielberg’s War Horse.

Jarmusch’s most recent film was 2009’s The Limits of Control. He’s scheduled to begin work on Only Love later this year.
