“It’s going to be very risqué,” Patrick Muldoon, a producer at the film’s production company Eclectic Pictures, told the site. “It’s a new thing for her, but it’s not about nudity. It’s profound, the performance that she’s giving…She’s doing such an amazing job. We’re about two weeks into filming, and the movie’s going to be incredible.”
He added that “Thematically, it’s talking about how abusive the porn industry was to Linda Lovelace. Yes, there’s a lot of nudity, but it’s a message movie about respecting women.”
The film, based on Eric Danville’s “The Complete Linda Lovelace,” co-stars the previously-announced Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, James Franco, Eric Roberts, Adam Brody and Demi Moore.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Debi Mazar and Cory Hardrict have joined the production as well. Mazar will play Dolly Sharp, Lovelace’s co-star in Deep Throat, while Hardrict will play Frankie Cocker, an on-air personality.
Another film about Lovelace, titled Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, is also in development and stars Malin Akerman, Matt Dillon, Adam Goldberg, Paz de la Huerta, Sasha Grey and Harold Perrineau.
