Paul Feig, best known as the director of last year’s suprise box office hit, Bridesmaids, has signed on to helm The Better Woman, Variety reports.
A romantic comedy, the film is also being developed at Universal Pictures and is said to follow a career woman who winds up befriending the new, older woman that her ex is now dating.
Feig is also an accomplished television director, having turned in episodes of “The Office”, “Mad Men”, “Arrested Development” and more. He was briefly linked to Universal’s untitled Bridget Jones sequel, but departed that project in October and was subsequently replaced by Peter Cattaneo.
