Jessica Biel appears to be the latest name to join the cast of Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes. Variety reports that the actress is currently in negotiations for a leading role.
Last week, it was revealed that Kaya Scodelario would be replacing the previously attached Rooney Mara in the lead of the Francesca Gregorini (Tanner Hall) film.
Fishes is said to focus on a young girl (presumably Emanuel) and her obsession with a new neighbor’s resemblance to her dead mother as the girl agrees to babysit the woman’s lifelike doll. Biel would play the neighbor, Linda, who has recently lost her own daughter and, due to shock, treats the doll as a surrogate.
Biel is on the big screen now in New Year’s Eve and, next summer, will headline Total Recall.
