Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Passes the $500 Million Mark

Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel StudiosGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 added $7.5 million domestically and $11.2 million internationally on Wednesday, for a global day of $18.7 million. That means the sequel has now earned $175.9 million in North America and $325.8 million overseas, a combined worldwide total of $501.7 million. In 2014, the first film earned $333.2 million domestically and $440 million internationally, for a global total of $773.3 million.
