Following the less-than-stellar reception of his latest, Abduction, Taylor Lautner is now planning to go indie, starring in a film from Gus Van Sant. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that Lautner will also produce the film and that it will be based on an unspecified New Yorker article that the star optioned.
Van Sant’s latest film, Restless, starred Mia Wasikowska and Henry Hopper. He also directed the pilot episode of the new Starz original series “Boss,” featuring Kelsey Grammer in the lead.
Lautner himself can next be seen on the big screen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, hitting theaters on November 18th.
