Dennis Christopher is the latest name to join the cast of Quentin Tarantino’s next, Django Unchained, Variety reports.
The writer/director’s revenge-driven “Southern” will feature Jamie Foxx as Django, a freed American slave who teams with a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to save his wife from Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), an evil plantation owner. Samuel L. Jackson and Gerald McRaney are also attached to star.
Christopher is best known for his early role in Breaking Away and has appeared more recently on HBO’s “Deadwood.” His part is that of Leo Moguy, Candie’s lawyer.
Django Unchained is planned for release on December 25, 2012.
