The Hollywood Reporter says that Infernal Affairs director Andrew Lau and producer Peter Chan Ho-sun (The Warlords, Wu Xia) are currently making $15 million period action film The Guillotines in the Shanxi province of China.
The film is co-produced by Chan’s We Pictures and Media Asia Film Production, with Stellar Mega Films, Dingsheng Cultural Industry Investment and Polyface Films joining as production partners.
The Guillotines is about the emperor’s covert assassination squad and stars Huang Xiaoming, Ethan Juan, Shawn Yue and Boran Jing.
