Riley Keough to Play Stripper in Magic Mike

Over the last couple of days, there’s been lots of casting news for Steven Soderbergh’s stripper comedy Magic Mike, starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, and most recently, Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer, but you can add another name to the cast.

E! Online is reporting that model Riley Keough, daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, will play a stripper called Zora, a role that was at one point thought to have gone to Lindsay Lohan, though according to the story, Soderbergh decided “‘not to go there.” Zora is the love interest for Pettyfer’s character, known as “The Kid.”

UPDATE: ComingSoon.net was told that actress Jessica Biel had also joined the movie, playing another stripper, but Variety‘s Justin Kroll says she passed on the project. She was going to play a woman called Amber, who is the lover of Mike Martingano (Tatum’s character’s).

Another female role that needs to be cast is The Kid’s older sister Paige and then there’s a couple more male strippers and others who work at the club.

The movie is being made independently and will be shooting down in Tampa, Florida starting next month.
