Mimi Leder Takes All Quiet on the Western Front

Mimi Leder, best known for directing Deep Impact and Pay It Forward, has signed on to direct All Quiet on the Western Front, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Originally published as a novel by Erich Maria Remarque in 1929, the World War I drama was subsequently filmed by Lewis Milestone in 1930 and adapted as a telefilm in 1979.

Last year it was announced that “Harry Potter” franchise star Daniel Radcliffe was attached to headline the current iteration, but it is uncertain whether the young actors is still involved with the project.

Ian Stokell and Lesley Paterson wrote the script and will produce through their Sliding Down Rainbows Entertainment production company.
