Michael Peña and Dax Shepard Ride in Style on the CHIPS Poster

The CHIPS poster offers a first look at the upcoming comedy actioner

Warner Bros. Pictures has today brought online the first CHIPS poster and, with it, a first look at the upcoming R-rated action comedy. You can check out the CHIPS poster design in the gallery viewer at the bottom of this page and read on for the new CHIPS synopsis. There won’t be a long wait for more from the film, either, as the CHIPS trailer should be online tonight following its debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

In CHIPS, Jon Baker (Dax Shepard) and Frank “Ponch” Poncherello (Michael Peña) have just joined the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Los Angeles but for very different reasons. Baker is a beaten up pro motorbiker trying to put his life and marriage back together. Poncherello is a cocky undercover Federal agent investigating a multi-million dollar heist that may be an inside job—inside the CHP. The inexperienced rookie and hardened pro are teamed together, but clash more than click, so kickstarting a partnership is easier said than done. But with Baker’s bike skills combined with Ponch’s street savvy it might just work… if they don’t drive each other crazy along the way.

The CHIPS cast also includes Rosa Salazar (The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Alita Battle Angel), Adam Brody (The O.C., Yoga Hosers), Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, The Good Place), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Emerald City, Marvel’s Daredevil). Dax Shepard also serves as director on the comedy, which opens in theaters on March 24.
