A number of actors are lining up for Lionsgate’s upcoming AWOL. Variety reports that Max Adler, Liam Hemsworth, Chris Lowell, Teresa Palmer, Austin Stowell and Aimee Teegarden are all currently in negotiations to appear.
Danny Mooney, best known minor acting roles in films like Whip It and The Genesis Code, will helm the period project. Set during the Vietnam war, the story revolves around a soldier (Stowell) who goes AWOL with his best friend (Hemsworth) after his girlfriend (Teegarden) leaves him.
The film is expected to begin production next month in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
