Arquette, Brody and Sarandon in Talks for Hemlock Drive

Rosanna Arquette is making her return to the director’s chair, with her first feature, Hemlock Drive. Arquette was previously behind the camera on two successful documentaries, Searching for Debra Winger and All We Are Saying.

Hemlock Drive, written by Jennifer Carta and Mandy Steckelberg, is about a dying Mother who, in a desperate attempt to unite and bond her family, enlists her three grown children to throw her a living funeral.

Jace Hall’s production company HDFILMS (ABC series “V,” “The Morning After” on Hulu) is working with UK-based, Lex Filmed Entertainment. Kristin Holt is producing, Tracey Adam, Sascha Hecks and Jace Hall are Executive Producers.

The film will begin principal photography this September in Louisiana. Producers are in negotiations with Susan Sarandon, Adam Brody, and David Arquette. Sarandon is currently filming Arbitrage with Richard Gere and Tim Roth in New York.
